Pasadena city hall, sitting on a stone bench across from this majestic structure. Yellow ochre and cadmium lemon first coat for luminosity.
I'm having an affair with watercolors lately. Her beauty and mystery have captured the hearts of many masters of the past.
I am going to dedicate at least a few years to know her and I believe that we will get along pretty soon. She is not to be completely possessed like an animal, yet it is also unwise to let her roam unbridled. The best thing one can do is to know her well enough to play an exhilarating game.

I didn't do her justice, she (ms. tree) was ten times more graceful and twenty times more beautiful in real life. Never use B on top of H pencils, the H creates a wax surface that fills up the tooth of the paper. If you have to, be extremely gentle with "H"er.
Try to communicate always with the piece, take her for a walk, a slow stroll, and speak words of beauty instead of technical words as she unfold before your eyes.

More thumbnails for anxious clients. First one is for a movie poster, pretty straightforward project, two guys and a girl, catchy. Second one is for a CD illustration with a diagram/blueprint feel showing the idea of illumination and elimination. Abyss explorers is my take on the idea. It's a rather loose interpretation but it felt right for some reason.

I couldn't make myself put another stroke on this piece. Simple as it may seem, this is the first time I actually felt that I cannot add or subtract anything from a piece to make it better. Felt like the shape is complete and "alive." Strange feeling. I hope it's a sign of maturity in making design judgments.
